How to 3D Print with PLA Filament

PLA is one of the easiest materials to 3d print with.  It is strong, biodegradable and affordable, and below is everything you need to know to 3d print successfully with PLA filament.

Extruder Temperature Range: 195-215C
Bed Temperature Range: 0-70C
Common Problems to Troubleshoot:

1) If there is no filament coming out of your 3d printer extruder, try unloading the filament entirely and then reloading it.  Many times, the filament wasn't placed into the extruder at the proper angle, so the motor which churns the filament out can't catch the filament.  If you can feel the filament being pulled into the extruder during the loading process you'll know you've done it right.

2) If your 3d printer is extruding plastic which is too soft and not sticking to the build plate well, try decreasing the temperature by 5 degrees because your filament may be coming out too hot.   

3) If the layers of your 3d print aren't sticking together during the printing process, try increasing the temperature by 5 degrees because the filament may be coming out too cold.
